Rum Discovery: Paradise Distilling Co

While in Iowa recently, we were looking for new Rum Distillers that we had maybe overlooked in our searches. Sure enough! We found Paradise Distilling Company. While we made efforts to actually visit them while we were in Dubuque that weekend, plans fell through and we missed out. I has contacted them however and promised I'd let all my readers know about them when I got back. So, here we go!!

PDC, is located in Dubuque and looks to be a great place to see and the rums sound delightful. If we look at their website we find a bit about their Spirits:

Island Bay Rum
With a light sugar cane scent and a hint of anise, this classy spirit has excellent mixability!  Think premium vodka with the character of a fine white rum. Island Bay begs to be enjoyed in a cocktail!

Caribbean Mist
Banana Peel and tropical notes can be found in this pale amber-colored rum, along with hints of vanilla and a light peppery zest.

White Sand Rum
Wonderful aromas of molasses and brown sugar with sweet caramel notes can be found in this rich rum, along with hints of raisins and cinnamon on the long finish.

We can see that the Rums are varied and have a great sounding taste profile. The more I read the more I wish we had gotten there when we were in Iowa. So this destination is definitely on our list!
I urge you who may be in the area or are traveling through the Dubuque environs, stop by - visit them and tell them Rick the Rum Runner sent them!!

I'll be back with more -- soon!
